Every product on this site is scored from the same two sources: the verified buyer reviews on Amazon — the complaints as carefully as the praise — and the published specifications. We look for the patterns that repeat across hundreds or thousands of reviews, because a pattern is evidence and a single review is an anecdote.
We do not claim to have physically tested every product. We do not accept free samples or sponsorship. We do not hide poor results: when the evidence says a product is not worth buying, that is what the review says.
Each review carries an Amazon rating, our own rating across five category-specific criteria, and a combined honest score. Products with very few ratings are marked down, because a five-star average from three buyers is not evidence.
